I apologize for being absent for a while—I’ve been a little busy, a little depressed, and a little impatient.
Besides the daily grind of work and home, I went ahead and ordered a couple of print proofs of A Gothic Symphony from CreateSpace, just so I could read through it in print. However, due to a shipping SNAFU, I never received the copies. I’ve been trying for almost a month now to resolve this issue, and (I hope) they’re now due to arrive on Thursday.
I’ve been a little hesitant to do any more editing work, though, until I receive the print copies, because I want to be able to make physical notes on what I find. There’s just something about reading a physical book in your hand that lets you pay more attention than a digital version of the same thing.
Once I receive the print copies I’ll probably start back on editing, and once I feel a little more comfortable with the overall quality, I’ll be resuming submitting to literary agents, trying once more to get a bite and land a deal.
So all in all, things are still moving along, though perhaps a little slower than they were before. Still, progress is progress, and I’m looking forward to having something in the mail on Thursday. I’ll be sure to share what they look like with you!
