Friends,
I have an announcement to make: while I continue to reach out to agents and seek representation for 22 Scars, I’ve decided that I want the rest of you to experience the joys and despairs of my characters. That means that I will be releasing 22 Scars in its current form both digitally and in print, through Amazon, Smashwords and iBooks.
This was a difficult decision to make, because I haven’t had the book professionally edited yet, although I’ve spent the better part of a year going over it as much as I’m able with a fine-tooth comb, cutting scenes and patching plot holes as much as possible. However, for what it’s worth I’m happy with its current state, and feel it’s in a place where I would be proud to submit it to an agent, publisher or anywhere else.
I’m working on the uploading/publishing process as we speak, and I will be back once the book is officially available. It will be available digitally before print, but you’ll be able to hold a copy in your hands should you desire it.
And for starters, if you want a free copy, just email me at cmnorthauthor@icloud.com for a redemption code to download it from Smashwords.
I will continue to query agents, and it’s certainly possible that a little bit of sales and marketing might help pitch the story.
So let me know if you’d like a free book to read, and look out for it on Amazon in the near future!
I’d be interested in reading this; how would you sum up the book in a sentence?

Hi, Judith! I’d love to share it with you! If I had to summarize in a sentence, I’d probably pull from the blurb: “22 Scars is a story of what it takes to live daily with depression—and how the scars of a lifetime can pass through generations and beyond.” If you’re interested, let me know how I can send you a digital copy, and what format you’d prefer (ePub, Kindle, PDF, etc.). Thank you so much!
